The MCS 500 Mandrel Collection System (MCS)

With an MCS 500 System, the vacuum pulls-and holds-the rivet securely in the nosepiece even when the tool is pointed down. This reduces time needed to load the rivet into the tool and increases assembly speed and efficiency by enabling the operator to place the rivet directly into its hole, using the Rivetool with one hand only.

When the rivet is set, the spent mandrel is instantly propelled into the collection bottle at the rear of the tool. This saves time usually required to drop out the spent mandrel, collects mandrels for recyclable scrap, reduces shop cleanup time, and promotes safety.

MCS 500 Specifications

Air Consumption: only 2 scfm at 85 psi. Approximate
Collector Capacity: 500 1/8" rivets, 300 3/1 6" rivets, 100 1/4" rivets.

Any PRG or PRT model Rivetool presently in use may be field-retrofitted with the new POP Mandrel Collection system.
