A Gripco® Assembly is defined as a prepositioned nut assembled to one or more components. Gripco® uses three methods to preposition a nut - clinching, staking, and welding.

In some cases, after a nut is positioned onto a component it may be assembled into another component. A good example of this type of assembly is the Gripco® cage nut. A clinch nut plate is placed in a stamped cage so that once the cage is welded into place, the nut plate will float to provide for manufacturing tolerances

Families

Flag-Nuts
Two-piece, peel-down assembly used primarily in applications where restricted space eliminates the ability to position a wrench onto the nut. The plate acts like a "dead-stop" in allowing for single-end driveability.

Cage-Nuts
Two-piece, high strength, clinched assembly utilized in fastening automotive cradle assemblies to uni-body style car frames.

Snap-Tite Clips
Multiple-piece assemblies used to retain two or more individual components of a joint together in order to improve assembler productivity and assembly line ergonomics.

Grip-Nuts
Two-piece assembly consisting of a cupped washer crimped onto a special flange nut. This type of fastener delivers more consistent torque-tension results in critical applications.
