NEW HAVEN, Conn. (October 25, 2002) – Emhart Teknologies announced today a worldwide exclusive agreement to distribute a new automatic blind riveting system manufactured by Koriyama Chip Industry Co., Ltd., of Japan. The new tool will be available at the end of the first quarter, 2003.

“This strategic partnership gives Emhart the capability to offer its customers a completely new tool that creates a more flexible work environment,” said Paul A. Gustafson, president, Emhart Teknologies. “Light and portable, users can bring the tool to the work instead of the work to the tool, saving time and production costs.”

Designed as an automatic hand-held tool, benefits include portability, flexibility, cost effectiveness and the ability to handle a wide variety of rivet diameters. The tool is designed for a cross section of applications in many industries, including the appliance, automotive, electronics, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and recreational. Photographs and more product details will be available during the full tool launch in the spring of 2003.
